Very tasty food with a really good price-performance ratio and great service, we would love to come back

Would like to give the restaurant 5 points but the tablecloths were slightly dirty and with real tablecloths it was even better, there is a lack of finesse here. In terms of staff, there are 5 points. The food is great and there is something for everyone. I can only recommend it. The prices are right if you want to eat well, you have to pay. It's not a kebab shop.

The range of vegan dishes is plentiful and the taste is heavenly. Always my pleasure!

Eaten Afghani for the first time in life, together with a colleague. Both dishes are incredibly well prepared and a great combination of many flavors. Very, very, very recommendable also we were served extremely courteous and friendly. It's a shame that we live so far away, but we'll be happy to come back! Eaten very well several times. The spices on the food are a dream and for me it is always a culinary change from everyday life. The place is charming, the staff is extremely friendly. Simply recommended. There is also a lot to find for vegetarians.

It was our first time at this restaurant on New Year's Eve. The restaurant is very nicely decoratedY There was an extra card for the New Year on that day. Nevertheless, there were still enough delicious dishes to choose from. The service was very friendly and we also responded to our somewhat special requests and preferences. We ordered the last "culinary trip of the year" and it was followed by a delicious platter of starters, followed by a very tasty main course which was also varied, and at the end a small dessert which was also lovingly prepared. For dessert there was tea on the house. Very attentive! The dishes were served very quickly and we left the restaurant very full and very satisfied. The prices are higher but still absolutely in the frame. We can definitely recommend the restaurant!

Delicious food, very friendly service. Tastefully located between oriental and indian. The Naan bread is excellent, but thinner than you would expect from Indian restaurants. The basmati rice is wonderfully relaxed. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible, which should be a matter of course in terms of customer service.

First of all the food was okay and the service friendly. We had to wait quite long until the food was there and I had expected more in taste. Another shortcoming was that some of the food should be served with salad, but this was missing. Card payment is also not possible. For over 40 € per person not durable.

Very different food...but really delicious. The lamb meat is very good and the pomegranate gravy.

I didn't have any previous experience with Afghan food so I had no idea what to expect ... what I got was pretty wonderful!!! The service is fantastic and you'll also want to make a reservation for a table well in advance of your night out!!!

The dishes simply taste "different". Very spicy for German standards! We found it really tasty and varied. :) With the starter platter, there was typically German mixed salad - we found that unsuitable. It would also be great if you could have ordered a large plate with different dishes to try. Unfortunately there were six of us at a table for four - it was pretty tight. The waiters were very friendly and quick!

There are restaurant experiences that are difficult or impossible to beat. The Durrani is an insider tip in Gelnhausen. From the outside it seems inconspicuous during the day and you run the risk of just running by. As soon as it is dark and the lights in the restaurant are on, you inevitably stop in front of the restaurant and it magically attracts you. The atmosphere is simple - and yet you immediately feel comfortable and it is as if you are immersed in a foreign world. The menu is extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. Rather, you are spoiled for choice and you want to try everything. Eating is a dream and it is a great pleasure to confront your taste buds with many new flavors. The good service and the excellent price-performance ratio complete the trip to another world. When you leave the restaurant you are back in your old, familiar world. And yet melancholy arises and you immediately start thinking about when it will be the next time to be able to immerse yourself in this breathtaking world.

At first I could not decide which dish from the card I should choose. Reads everything very delicious. Was there with a girlfriend and we both enjoyed it very much. There are meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, mostly with naan and rice. The waiter was too over-crowded and friendly, the food came quickly. You can only pay in cash, therefore a star deduction.
